OVH (OVHcloud) is a hosting provider that includes email services with its domain and hosting packages. OVH fully supports both IMAP and SMTP, so you can connect your inbox using the SMTP & IMAP option with the trial, Basic, PRO, or MAX plan.
How to connect OVH Mail using SMTP & IMAP
Step 1: Locate your OVH email credentials
Log in to your OVHcloud Control Panel.
Navigate to Web Cloud → Emails → select your domain.
Here you will see the list of email accounts associated with your domain. Make sure IMAP access is enabled for your account. You will also find the server settings you need for the connection.
Note: Your username is always your full email address (e.g., [email protected]), and the password is the one you set when creating the email account in the OVHcloud Control Panel.
Step 2: Connect your inbox in Warmup Inbox
Log in to Warmup Inbox and click the Add Inbox button.
Choose the SMTP & IMAP option.
Enter the following SMTP settings (for sending emails):
Setting | Value |
SMTP username | Your full email address (e.g., [email protected]) |
SMTP password | Your email account password |
SMTP host | ssl0.ovh.net (Europe) or smtp.mail.ovh.ca (Americas/Asia-Pacific) |
SMTP port | 465 |
SSL/TLS | ON |
Alternative SMTP port: You can also use port 587 with SSL/TLS set to OFF (STARTTLS will be used automatically).
Enter the following IMAP settings (for receiving emails):
Setting | Value |
IMAP username | Your full email address (e.g., [email protected]) |
IMAP password | Your email account password |
IMAP host | ssl0.ovh.net (Europe) or imap.mail.ovh.ca (Americas/Asia-Pacific) |
IMAP port | 993 |
SSL/TLS | ON |
Step 3: Fill out the sender name, choose the plan, and complete the connection.
Note: OVH uses different server hostnames depending on where your service is hosted:
Region | IMAP / SMTP Server |
Europe | ssl0.ovh.net |
Americas / Asia-Pacific | imap.mail.ovh.ca (IMAP) / smtp.mail.ovh.ca (SMTP) |
If you are unsure which region applies to you, check your OVHcloud Control Panel or the welcome email you received when setting up your OVH email service.
